Welcome to the inaugural issue of the International Journal of Creative Media Research. Our aim is a simple one: to be an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed and open access academic journal devoted to pushing forward the approaches to and possibilities for publishing creative and practice-based research.
We have been working hard over the past year to develop and launch a journal that we believe is truly innovative. In moving away from the limited formats of many text-based journals, we have created a platform that is more reflective of the kinds of diverse, interactive, multi-strand, creative research artefacts that are now being produced across different disciplines around the world.
